Leather Sector

Car InteriorAlthough Botswana has not produced crust and finished leather, there are manufactures of leather products who import raw materials for both the local market and export. These companies would be a critical reference point for sharing the experiences in manufacturing leather products in Botswana.

A large variety of finished leather products in Botswana are imported from the region and overseas markets. The leather products companies set up in Botswana will thus not only export through various trade agreements that Botswana is signatory to, but also meet the local demand.

Investment Opportunities in the Leather Sector

The tannery will produce the following types of leather that gives the opportunity to produce various leather products within the country.
