The Investment Promotion Division within BEDIA acts as a catalyst, facilitator and coordinator to ensure that the requirements of potential investors are met. Equipped with highly motivated and professional staff, Investment Promotion Division provides investment advice and creates awareness of Botswana in the main capital exporting countries by undertaking investment-courting missions. It also organises meetings between potential investors and economic operators in the country. The division also monitors international investment trends and provides both economic and trade statistics to potential investors.

Private sector development and participation has been recognised and as a vital ingredient in the establishment of a vibrant manufacturing sector and as a result the division is involved in the promotion of joint venture partnership between foreign industrialists and local entrepreneurs. As a result, the division keeps an updated database of local potential partners.
